Quite possibly her favourite café east of the Atlantic, Farm Girl Café is truly a gem to discover. Tucked away on Portobello Road in London’s charismatic Notting Hill neighborhood, Farm Girl prides itself with holistic and healthy ingredients, further afield creating comforting fare that has her dreaming of homemade berry pancakes drizzled with coconut flakes and amber maple syrup.
The Australian cultured café is new to the London scene thanks to owners Anthony Hood and Rose Mann. Rose, who spent her childhood on an Australian diary farm, says that despite having a “penchant for Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ slippers, she can milk a cow like a pro and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty when there’s a roast ‘chuck’ to prepare.”
From its glossy tiles and vibrant mouth-watering presentations, to the resident French Bull Bronte, Farm Girl’s ambient lulls her to escape on a misty Monday morning and journal her most intimate dreams with a cosy cup of tea from gorgeous bespoke pottery created by David Archer. Yet it is also here where she invites her best friend to brunch on the weekend, so they can giggle over fresh pressed juices and together relish the flaky croissants and countertop sweets that will surprisingly redefine “vegan” for those unfamiliar.
With Coconut BLT’s and pomegranate sprinkled Avocado Toast, to Instagram-worthy Matcha and Lavender Lattes, Farm Girl Café boasts her well being and compliments her stylish and healthy outlook on life. Even oceans away, the idea of this little Notting Hill cafe brings a smile to her face.
